I am glad you’re interested enough to reach this part of the website. However, before you read further and consider applying to work with us at IIT Roorkee or remotely, I’d like to offer a gentle warning.

We as a group are dedicated to research with not just an ambition of building on-paper profiles, but for sake of research, progress, outcomes, and Vyaktitva Nirman (व्यक्तित्व निर्माण) — the continuous development of one’s character and capabilities. Every member of Lab works to build a culture of excellence that pushes beyond personal limits. The primary goal of this group is that we can develop as individuals to serve the community at all levels wherever it is required - professionally, by sound research, by building individuals that can work beyond personal ambitions.

We politely but firmly refuse to be just another place for collecting degrees or certificates. We ask the most obvious yet overlooked research questions, acknowledge our current limitations, and work to overcome them. We follow a simple but strict code of ethics, and every member is held to the same standards of performance and behavior. No one works under anyone here — we all work with each other, each carrying different responsibilities within our projects.

In short,  Lab is not the place for those seeking easy rewards or comfort zones — it’s the place for those who can dare to build, question, and grow– together.

Please feel free to email me or any existing PhD student in the group (contacts available under Team page) with the subject line “Prospective Doctoral/Research Student Application- [Your Name]”, including a brief overview of your interests and how you would contribute to our research group. Try and review a few of the resources given below before writing to me. Attach your CV and any other relevant documents. If you do not receive a response, please do not hesitate to follow up.

Existing IITR UG & PG:

Currently I am looking for a UG student(s) who are willing to work on developing Agentic workflows. Someone who already have experience and learned agentic workflow. Those who are enthusiastic can apply.

Internship Opportunities for External Students:

I have limited opportunities for summer internships at Lab in the upcoming summer (2026) for projects related to machine learning applications. Students from outside IIT Roorkee can reach out to me for more details. Early movers get priority consideration! We are not accepting applications for Winter internships at this time.
